Program Overview

The Interior Design Associate Degree program provides students with the necessary skills to design and execute interior design projects including their furnishings. The Interior Design program allows the students to develop the abilities to create building interiors that answer the economic, functional, technical, psychological, and aesthetic requirements of a project by emphasizing the fundamentals of interior design. The Interior Design students are introduced to the basic elements and theories of design, color and spatial composition that form the foundation of creative design for both residential and commercial properties. Interior Design students, through topic-specific courses, are introduced to both manual and CAD drawing skills. Studio courses require the student to incorporate the learned theoretical and technical knowledge into a comprehensive design based upon specific program requirements.

    To apply research-based problem solving to the design of interiors to effect positive change in the health, welfare, and quality of life for people at home, work, and leisure-built environments

    To understand the role of principles and elements of the design in the development of the interior design layouts.

    To embrace creativity and technology as resources and tools for innovation permitting the exploration of interior solutions of complexity to be envisioned as a dimension of design excellence.

    To support learning outside the classroom to expand the understanding of the profession and practice.

    Solve design problems using analysis, synthesis, and creativity
  • PLO 2:
    Apply the principles and elements of the design, line, rhythm, shape, color, texture, proportion, etc., in the development of their interior design layouts.

    Assess the interior implications for interior design presented by key developments, in current and emerging materials, media and technologies, interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary practices for design excellence.
  • PLO 4:
    Interpret, develop, and communicate ideas in the history, theory, and practice of design by evaluate the significance ‘right to practice’ legislation and issues of debate such as ethics, potentials conflicts, liabilities, and constraints.

Admission Criteria

Category of Candidates Eligibility criteria
Intermediate or Equivalent Candidate must be intermediate or equivalent degree qualified.

Admission Process

  1. Fill out the admission form.
  2. Pay the application fee of Rs. 5,000.
  3. Appear for the admission test.
  4. Pass the test with a minimum of 60% marks.
  5. Students who pass the test can enroll in the premium educational program.
  6. An acceptance or rejection letter will be issued.
  7. The last date for fee deposit will be clearly indicated on the fee voucher.
  8. Admission will be canceled for students who do not pay the required dues by the deadline.
  9. Admission tests are conducted every Saturday and Wednesday.
  10. Tests will be conducted on computers.
  11. Test results will be announced the next day and communicated to students via WhatsApp and Email.
